The Delight is a durable, lightweight budget rope from Mammut. The now standard 9.8mm diameter works well in all belay devices while the light weight helps when moving upwards, whether on sport or trad.
Here at the Foundry we gave one of these ropes to Becki Hall, British team member, to test. After six months she reported some stiffness in handling, but no real problem with wear or sheath slippage. We then used the rope for another seven months over the summer on one of the wall's top rope routes before it became too stiff and worn to use easily. For any rope this is an excellent performance.
